    Overview

Jbel Saghro Massif is located between the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. We cross the range, ending on the Sahara side of Saghro. High volcanic peaks and monoliths resemble the southwestern United States with soaring mesas, sparsely vegetated plateaus, hidden springs and canyon oases. We will meet and have tea with Ait Atta nomads living in this hostile and secluded landscape. Jackal, fox, wolf, toads, frogs, wild sheep, gazelles, vulture, buzzard and Bonelli-rare eagle also live here. The trees include date palms, acacias, tamarisks and oleanders.
