The high atlas excursion by 4X4 will start at 9 am to the Lalla takerkouste lake where you will be amazed by the panoramic view, at 1400 m altitude, and located only 30 km south of Marrakech. After touching the sky, we will visit the Berber villages of the Moroccan High Atlas region, to be closer to the local inhabitants.
Thus, we will reach the second stage of the tour, to discover the Kik Plateaux composed of a unique limestone making them world famous.
The excursion of the high atlas and the 3 valleys in 4x4 from Marrakech in private will make you discover this other breathtaking view on the Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain of all North Africa which culminates at 4167 m.
The valley of Asni Ouirgane will be the third stage of our expedition where a visit to the warm Berber villages will contrast with the steep paths of the region.
You can also observe the valleys rich in vegetation. Fields as far as the eye can see of quince, almond, olive or fig trees will lead you into a whirlwind of flavors, smells and colors that will titillate your senses.
A visit to the Berber villages will allow you to discover how its ingenious inhabitants build their traditional Berber house by hand.
The excursion High Atlas and the 3 valleys in 4x4 from Marrakech in private will conclude with the visit of the Ourika valley where you will enjoy this beautiful region very green and which is also known by seven waterfalls (Seti Fadma waterfall).
The Ourika valley is a region that is also known nationally (even internationally) by the production of argan oil as well as Essaouira and Agadir.
An oil considered by many as gold for the skin and hair. This last step will close this magnificent visit to the sweet flavors of the East. We will be back at the hotel around 5:30 pm.
Unexpected in this rather arid landscape, a 7 km long stretch of water with bluish reflections. A Sunday getaway for Marrakchis in search of freshness and water sports enthusiasts. The lake is dominated by the Plateau du Kik.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Toubkal (the highest point in North Africa with its 4,167 m), the Berber village of Asni is itself located at an altitude of 1,200 m. The Saturday souk is its main attraction. The most animated souk is the one that takes place on Tuesdays in the Berber village of Thanaout, about twenty kilometers further down the road to Marrakech
A 5 km detour out of Asni will take you to this small village with its winding alleys full of souvenir sellers. This important pilgrimage site is still very popular with sterile women who hang small ribbons from trees hoping to become mothers when they come off them. The village is also famous for its moussem which takes place every year about ten days before the festival of Mouloud (birth of the prophet).
Once arrived on the spot it is necessary to follow the narrow valley, carpeted with fields and trees in edge of the oued Ourika until the village of Setti Fatma (km 65) which marks the end of the valley, a pedestrian excursion will be proposed to you by your local guide, in order to visit the 7 waterfalls of setti fatma. Many restaurants on the spot propose tajines to be tasted in terrace.
Our trip to the Atlas Mountains was a great experience. It is a day full of experiences and beautiful views. Everything is organised for you: breakfast, camel ride, walk or donkey ride in the Atlas Mountains, lunch and tea with a Berber family in the mountains. The trips there and back are well organised with a private driver. Our guide spoke good English and showed us the Atlas Mountains in an enthusiastic way. All in all, a very successful day!
It was a fantastic day. Everything started well, the camels, the visit to an argan oil cooperative, and best of all the guide who accompanied us Babala, from the walk.... followed by the food which was spectacular and the tea we had at his house. Highly recommended 💯
Very nice tour of the three valleys and the view of the High Atlas peaks. Visit to a Berber village with tea and a very good lunch. Thanks to the guide who was sensational.
Very nice excursion with a good driver and a very friendly guide. Discover the High Atlas with a visit to a Berber village and a good meal. I recommend it to you.
